OVERVIEW OF EXPERIENCE

Wendy is an experienced intellectual property attorney. She graduated with High Honors from Swarthmore College and received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2002. 

Wendy is experienced in all aspects of pre-litigation and litigation of complex patent (including patent troll), trademark, trade secret, copyright, advertising, unfair competition, and other IP-related disputes in federal and state courts and arbitrations, before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board, and in Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy proceedings. She also has an extensive background in negotiating, drafting, analyzing, and monitoring compliance with IP licenses and related agreements. Additionally, she clears, prepares, prosecutes and defends trademarks and copyrights in the U.S. Patent & Trademark and U.S. Copyright Offices, and advises clients on overall brand strategy and protection, including social media. 

Among other types of technologies, Wendy has tackled legal matters involving computer hardware and software; weight loss, beauty and cosmetics products and services; artificial intelligence and natural language processing; confectionary, food and beverage science; transportation-related technology; hydroponics; retail website functionality; sleep and mattress science; online gaming and gambling; semiconductor devices and processes; pharmaceutical products and medical devices; clothing; sporting goods; and other industries. 

After law school, Wendy joined large law firm in New York, where she represented a Fortune 50 company in patent litigations over patents on drug-eluting coronary stents, a branded drug manufacturer in ANDA infringement litigation, and defended government investigations into off-label pharmaceutical drug advertisement and promotion. 

Later, for a large firm in Phoenix, Arizona, Wendy represented a food science company in matters involving the ratios of fats in butter, multimedia companies concerning websites and software for online golf course reservation systems and casinos, field-effect transistors and probe cards/analyzers, a major sporting goods company concerning patented clothing, and a major aviation maintenance company to protect its IP assets. She became a shareholder at Venjuris P.C., where she has represented clients in technologies from online video game software, to AI technologies, online technical support, and diesel engine oil-cooling systems and methods. She also represents writers, artists, musicians and other creative authors in protecting their works. 

Wendy is admitted to practice law in New York, Arizona, and Virginia, along with a number of federal courts.
