Lauren Dreilinger
OVERVIEW OF EXPERIENCE
Lauren Dreilinger is an experienced litigation and employment attorney. She also has immigration law experience.
Lauren graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science. She received her juris doctorate from New York University Law School in 1998. During law school, Lauren published an article in the Helsinki Monitor: Quarterly on Security and Cooperation in Europe entitled, “The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina: Apprehension of Indicted War Criminals.”
After law school, Lauren joined the New York Association for New Americans as a staff attorney where she represented clients in all phases of immigration matters, including securing disability waivers for naturalization interviews under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This work was featured in a New York Times article entitled, “An I.N.S. Hurdle for the Disabled; Promised Exemptions Elude Many Would-Be Citizens.” She then joined a mid-sized firm as an Associate representing clients in ADA, Title VII and Section 1983 cases.
Lauren then relocated to Chicago, IL where she joined the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a trial attorney. During her eight years at EEOC, she went on to work at the Agency’s New York and Miami District Offices. At the EEOC, Lauren litigated all phases of individual and class cases brought under the federal employment statutes enforced by the Commission. She also provided legal counsel to EEOC personnel investigating charges of discrimination and developing matters for litigation.
She is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with and traveling with her family, especially her two daughters, and dog Joey. She loves going to the beach, reading, and walking.
